Watercolors > Hat Series

What fascinates me about hats is the unspoken attitude they attach to a person.  Everything from reserved dignity to the risqué can be seen in a person donning a hat. The emotional content hats convey is all part of my fascination with visual understatement and suggestion in painting figures.
