Watercolors > Still Life

While many think still life as boring, I have found great creative challenge in it.  The challenge is simple:  To exalt the mundane to the extraordinary.  Shouldn’t all paintings have that sort of goal?  Some of the pieces here came after 50 or 60 different design approaches using the identical still life set up . . . .all with the intent of strengthening my creative muscles . . .and to paint ‘beyond the obvious’.
